Bob Stallworthy (Calgary)

Bob Stallworthy

Bob Stallworthy has written four full-length books of poetry and an ongoing e-book containing the profiles of Alberta writers. He has also written book reviews for The Calgary Herald, a regular column for WestWord (the Writers Guild of Alberta magazine), and has published poetry in magazines across Canada. He also has an essay included in the collection Nobody's Father, Life Without Kids, Touchwood Editions, 2008.

In 2002 he was the co-recipient of the Calgary Freedom of Expression Award. His book Optics was short-listed for the 2004 W.O. Mitchell City of Calgary Book Prize. He read his poetry at the first Calgary International Spoken Word Festival.

He is a Lifetime member of the Writers Guild of Alberta, a full member of the League of Canadian Poets and a member of the Young Alberta Book Society.
